Backroad Relic Hunters is a shop located in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. We specialize in buying and selling artifacts from the Revolutionary War through the Civil War eras. Our collection spans centuries of American history—from muskets, cannons, and military uniforms to Civil War bullets, Confederate currency, coins, guns, swords, bayonets, and other authentic military and personal relics from the 1700s through the 1800s. Every artifact in our shop tells a story—of soldiers, settlers, and the soil they walked.
We welcome you to drop in, learn some classic American history, and take some souvenirs home with you. Our shop is always growing and changing, making each visit a bit better than the last.
We are a great attraction for any curious traveler, as we have activities and treats for all ages. Outside, you will find gem mining for the kids, featuring quick treasure grab bags for an easy start and a large old fashioned water wheel. Inside, you will be greeted by the smell of cinnamon glazed pecans, cashews & almonds. These are made fresh daily in our shop as a roadside treat for the whole family! You will also find wooden toys, rubber band guns, t-shirts, and other souvenirs to take home, along with hundreds of ancient artifacts available for purchase.
Our shop is conveniently located less than a mile across the Tennessee River from US Highway 72 and adjacent to Interstate 24 Exit 152 at Kimball, Tennessee. We are in the heart of rural southern Tennessee, but we are an easy travel stop on your way through the Tennessee Valley.
Whether you’re a local wanting to learn more about our local heritage and southern history, or you are a tourist passing through looking for a great roadside stop to get some fresh air and learn a bit of history, we promise to treat you like family & give you the grand tour of our shop!
